Description
Zum Franziskaner is one of Stockholm's oldest and most historic restaurants, established in 1889. Located in the Gamla Stan district, it is a cosy beer hall offering a blend of Swedish and German comfort food. Popular dishes include Wiener schnitzel, cabbage rolls, and black pudding, all paired with a selection of craft beers, including those specially brewed for the restaurant. The venue is famous for its traditional atmosphere and long-standing presence in Stockholm.
When it comes to beer, They like to support small independent breweries both in Sweden and Germany and then with a focus on Franconia. Here you can find beers that are brewed especially for us or that are hard to find outside of its own home region. Quality is always the most important thing for us and all of our draft beers are unpasteurized. They think it's the only right way to serve beer. We'd even go so far as to say that that's the very definition of craft beer.
Although beer is their greatest passion, we also have a lot of good wines, schnapps and other spirits.
