Explore Marrakesh

Marrakesh, located in the western part of Morocco, is a vibrant and culturally rich city that attracts visitors from around the world. The central square in the Medina, Jemaa el-Fnaa, is a vibrant and lively place. During the day, it hosts a variety of street performers, food stalls, and market traders. In the evening, the atmosphere transforms as storytellers, musicians, and food vendors create a magical night market. Marrakesh is renowned for its traditional markets, or souks, where you can find a wide array of goods such as spices, textiles, ceramics, and traditional Moroccan crafts. The experience of navigating through the narrow alleyways and bargaining with local vendors is an integral part of the visit.

@coles_wanderlens 10 of the top things we did in Marrakesh, including costs - part 1! 1. 🕍 Ben Youssef Madrasa - 50 MAD pp (£4). Absolutely BEAUTIFUL. Go at 9am so that it’s empty and you can enjoy its beauty in peace before the crowds. 2. 🕌 El Badi Palace - 70 MAD pp (£5.50). Massive grounds/ruins and fascinating history! 3. 🏡 Stay in a traditional Riad. Most will include a traditional Moroccan breakfast each morning. And will have the BEST house pets! 4. 🚏 Visit Jemaa el-Fnna square. Absolute chaos but a must - night food stalls start setting up at 4pm. Just be very careful with your stuff/pickpocketing! 5. 🌳 Koutoubia Mosque. You can’t enter unless you are Muslim, so enjoy a walk around the beautiful area and sit in the surrounding gardens/park. #marrakesh #marrakech #morocco #travel #benyoussefmadrasa #riad #badipalace #thingstodoinmarrakech #citybreak #traveltips #africa ♬ Viva La Vida Coldplay sped up - Discord: olmac16
