Description
Whales of Iceland is a captivating museum located in the Grandi harbour district of Reykjavik. It showcases 23 life-sized models of whale species found in Icelandic waters, including a 25-meter-long blue whale and a full-scale sperm whale. The museum offers an immersive experience with interactive exhibits, ambient underwater sounds, and educational displays on whale biology and conservation. Live guided tours are available daily at 11:00 and 15:00, included with admission. The museum is wheelchair and stroller accessible, making it suitable for visitors of all ages. After exploring, guests can enjoy refreshments at the Whale Café and browse the plastic-free gift shop.

Discounts are available for seniors, students, and Reykjavik City Card holders when booked onsite. The museum is open daily from 10:00 to 17:00, year-round, except for December 25th.
