Description
The West Cliff Funicular Railway, also known as the West Cliff Lift, is a historic funicular railway in Bournemouth, Dorset. Opened in 1908, it connects the beach to the clifftop, offering stunning views of the coastline. The lift operates daily from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with the last lift departing at 4:50 PM. It is closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, and there is a break in service between 1:30 PM and 2:00 PM. Please note that the East Cliff Lift is currently out of action due to a significant cliff slide.
Ticket prices for the West Cliff Lift are as follows:
Adult single: £2.20
Child single (under 16): £1.70
Family single (2 adults & 3 children): £7.20
Under 5s: Free
7-day unlimited pass: £13.75
Season pass (valid until 29 September): £44.00
