Description
The Scandinavian Golf Club is located about 25 minutes north of Copenhagen in Farum, Denmark, and features two world-class 18-hole courses: the Old Course and the New Course. Designed by Robert Trent Jones II and opened between 2010 and 2011, the courses are set within a 200-hectare forested landscape, providing a peaceful and challenging environment for golfers. Both courses are consistently ranked among the top 50 in Continental Europe.
The club welcomes visitors year-round, though advance booking is required. During the high season—May, June, and August through October—the green fee for an 18-hole round is approximately 1,500 DKK, with a two-day pass to play both courses available for around 2,700 DKK. Players need to present a valid handicap certificate, with a maximum handicap of 26 for both men and women.
Facilities include a driving range with covered bays equipped with advanced tracking technology, four putting greens, and short game practice areas. The award-winning clubhouse, designed by Henning Larsen Architects, offers a restaurant, café, bar, pro shop, and meeting rooms. Its architecture combines traditional Scandinavian elements with modern design, featuring panoramic views of the courses and surrounding forest. The club also offers Stay & Play packages that include green fees, practice access, a welcome gift, and lodging options for a complete golf experience.
