Teatro Rialto is a historic theatre located at Gran Vía 54 in Madrid, Spain. Originally inaugurated in 1930 as a cinema, it was designed by architects José de Aragón and José María Mendoza Ussía. The venue quickly gained popularity, notably premiering the film El Último Cuplé starring Sara Montiel. In 2005, the theatre underwent significant renovations to adapt it for live performances, reopening with the Spanish musical Hoy No Me Puedo Levantar. Today, Teatro Rialto stands as a prominent venue for musical theatre in Madrid, hosting a variety of productions throughout the year.
As of April 2025, the theatre is hosting the Spanish production of Mamma Mia!, which is set to conclude its run on June 15, 2025. Following Mamma Mia!, the theatre will feature Ópera & Zarzuela Dreams, an innovative show that offers a journey through masterpieces of opera and zarzuela, running from June 25 to August 24, 2025. Additionally, the acclaimed play Escenas de la Vida Conyugal, starring Ricardo Darín and Andrea Pietra, is scheduled to begin performances in September 2025.
