Description
little strip of patrolled sand, Suttons Beach is one of the best swimming beaches on the peninsula.
Its gentle waves are ideal for children and non-confident swimmers and although much of its grassy foreshore is treeless, its northern end is fringed by a shady strip of park with a playground.
The beach is connected at the southern end with a scenic path that heads around to Woody Point via the Gayundah wreck or at the northern end to Redcliffe town centre via Settlement Cove. Unlike the coastal beaches to the north and south of Brisbane City, parking here is conveniently abundant, and the stretch of sand comes accompanied by an array of space for hosting picnics and barbecues.
