Description
SUP SUP CLUB makes paddleboarding delightfully simple. With a clever “SUP 2 GO” self-service system, you can reserve a board online (usually for about €15 per hour) and pick it up directly from lockers at various locations including the Amstel Boathouse, Hannekes Boom, De Oceaan, or Sloterplas. There are no rental counters or queues—just unlock your board with your phone and you're ready to paddle. It’s a full-body, low-impact workout that lets you glide through quiet stretches of the Amstel River or into the heart of Amsterdam’s canals at your own pace.
SUP lessons—private or in groups—are also available and led by certified instructors. Prices are generally around €45 per person for private or two-person lessons, €35 for small groups (3–5 people), and €25 for larger groups (6 or more). All lessons include equipment rental (board and paddle) and professional instruction on paddling technique and water safety, with guidance available in both English and Dutch. Whether you’re a complete beginner or just want to improve your form, the lessons are designed to help you paddle with confidence and ease.
SUP SUP CLUB is ideal for solo paddlers seeking calm, reflective time on the water, couples looking for a fun and active date, or groups wanting a relaxed, shared adventure. The water routes are generally easy to navigate, but it’s advisable to stay near the canal edges to avoid larger boats. A typical session lasts about an hour, though many paddlers opt to rent for longer. With multiple scenic departure points—from nature-focused routes at the Amstel Boathouse to urban views near Hannekes Boom or the modern docks of De Oceaan—there’s a SUP experience to suit every mood and interest.
