Description
Sodap Beach, also known as Vrysoudia A Beach, is a peaceful sandy beach located just west of Paphos Harbour in Cyprus. It offers a quieter alternative to some of the busier beaches nearby and is easily accessible by foot, bike, bus, or car, with parking available close by. The beach features soft golden sand and clear, shallow waters, making it ideal for swimming, sunbathing, and family-friendly activities.
Visitors can enjoy a variety of amenities, including sunbeds and umbrellas for rent, public toilets, showers, changing rooms, and waste disposal bins. There is also a beach bar and restaurant on-site offering refreshments and light meals with sea views. Lifeguards are on duty from April to October, ensuring safety during the swimming season. Additionally, Sodap Beach has become known for its cleanliness and well-maintained facilities.
In 2024, Sodap Beach was designated as the first ‘Plastic Free Beach’ in the Paphos district, promoting environmental awareness by encouraging visitors to avoid single-use plastics. The beach provides a free cold filtered water refill station and designated smoking areas with upcycled ashtrays. While the promenade is wheelchair accessible, some ramps have steps that may challenge visitors with mobility issues, so it’s recommended to check accessibility in advance. Overall, Sodap Beach offers a calm, eco-conscious spot for a relaxing day by the sea.
