Description
Rapids Water Park is a large outdoor water park covering about 30 acres with over 40 rides and attractions. You’ll find things like a wave pool (25,000 sq ft), a lazy river that stretches quite a distance across the park, high-thrill slides including speed slides and dual slides, kids’ play sections with splash areas and tipping buckets, raft rides, and a newer water coaster called Mega Mayhem with duelling flumes and blast zones. The variety means there’s something for both thrill-seekers and families looking for more relaxed fun.
Opening season typically runs from March through November, though hours and days can vary depending on the date and special events. A one-day admission ticket costs around US$60-65 for peak days; cheaper tickets may be available on less busy days or via online/advance purchase. Season passes are available offering perks like free parking, discounts on food and merchandise, and other benefits.
For a visit, plan to spend a full day to make the most of it—arriving early helps to avoid long queues, especially for the popular rides. Bring swimwear, towels, sun protection (sunscreen, hat), change of clothes, waterproof flip-flops or sandals. Lockers and cabanas are available for rent. Some rides have height or weight restrictions, and life jackets or safety gear are required in certain attractions. Also good to check in advance what rides are open, as some may be closed for maintenance or limited operations during off-peak times.
