Pebble beach at Birsköpfli Verified listing

There is a beautiful park and pebble beach along the Rhein that is our favorite place to visit to play in the river.  It is the point where the Birs connects to the Rhine allowing for a shallower and slower moving water & pebble to be safer for small children.  Birsköpfli & Rheinpark contain an expansive grassy area with a nice path for bikes or skating along the river. On the large open grass lawn you find people enjoying a game of Kubb or Slack-lining, BBQing, and sun bathing.

The pebble beach at Birsköpfli, is lovely place for children to toss rocks or splash in the shallow slower moving waters of the Rhine and nearby Birs. At this location it is common to see paddlers kayak through the river here.

On one side of the bridge you will find  a great cafe, Veranda Pellicano, with drinks, coffee, delicious food, and ice cream. Located behind it is a lovely shallow kids pool. On the other side of the bridge you follow the bike path and you will reach a lovely large playground and continuing a bit further along you will see a nice little bare foot path train and a Robispiel playground for children age 6+ Robi Birsfelden.
