Description
Palmitos Park is a wonderful blend of botanical gardens, animal exhibits, and live shows set in a lush valley just north of Maspalomas. Spanning around 20 hectares, the park is home to a rich variety of flora—including over 1,000 palm trees, more than 160 cactus species, and the island's largest orchid collection—plus Europe’s biggest butterfly house filled with colourful fluttering wings. As you explore, you’ll pass through beautiful themed gardens, peaceful trails, and shaded paths that make the day feel like an immersive walk through paradise.
More than just plants, Palmitos Park is packed with fascinating wildlife and interactive experiences. Kids can enjoy shows featuring dolphins, trained parrots, and birds of prey soaring above. There’s also a dolphinarium where bottlenose dolphins perform acrobatic displays, as well as reptile exhibits with snakes, Komodo dragons, and endemic island lizards. A charming aquarium offers a close-up look at marine species from caimans to clownfish, while tiny hummingbirds darting beside the souvenir shop add a delightful finishing touch.
The park is open daily from 10 AM to 6 PM and welcomes families with a range of ticket options. Standard prices are around €37 for adults, €28 for children aged 5–10, and €14 for little ones aged 3–4. There are also family packages and flexible tickets available for better value. On top of that, “Dolphin Encounter” experiences let families get up close with the dolphins for an additional fee, making for a memorable day of learning, wonder, and adventure.
