Description
NEMO33 Brussels, located in Uccle, is known for having one of the world's deepest indoor swimming pools, reaching depths of 33 meters. The facility offers a unique diving experience with warm, non-chlorinated spring water maintained at temperatures between 30–33°C. Designed for both recreational and professional divers, NEMO33 features various zones, including simulated underwater caves at 10 meters depth, providing a safe environment for training and exploration. The pool is equipped with air chambers and tunnels, allowing divers to practice different diving techniques. A Thai restaurant with a terrace overlooks the pool, offering meals for non-divers accompanying guests.
The facility caters to a wide range of diving enthusiasts: certified divers can dive for around €25 per session, including equipment rental, while non-certified divers pay about €35 per session with equipment provided. Beginners can take an initiation course lasting about an hour, followed by a dive in the pool. NEMO33 also offers freediving sessions in designated time slots. Booking in advance is recommended, as sessions tend to fill quickly.
NEMO33 is open daily, with hours typically from 10:00 AM to 10:30 PM on weekdays and from 8:00 AM to 10:30 PM on weekends and holidays. Each dive session lasts about an hour, and visitors should arrive 30 minutes early for check-in and preparation. The location is easily accessible by public transportation. For a unique experience, guests can also book “Deep Dinner,” a gastronomic meal served inside a submerged sphere within the pool—reservations for this exclusive event should be made well in advance.
