Located at Avenue du Docteur Ménard, the museum is dedicated to the works of Marc Chagall, particularly his monumental cycle The Biblical Message. The museum houses over 400 pieces, including paintings, gouaches, drawings, pastels, stained glass, and ceramics, offering a comprehensive view of Chagall's artistic evolution. The museum's design complements the artwork, featuring a serene garden and a peaceful atmosphere conducive to reflection.
The museum is open every day except Tuesdays, January 1, May 1, and December 25. From May 2 to October 31, it operates from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM. From November 1 to April 30, the hours are 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Please note that the museum closes for a lunch break from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, during which the galleries are closed, but the garden and bookshop remain accessible. Ticket sales end 30 minutes before closing time, and evacuation begins 15 minutes before closing. Admission is €8 for adults, with a reduced rate of €6. During special exhibitions, the full price is €10, with a reduced rate of €8. Entry is free on the first Sunday of each month and for EU residents under 26, as well as for individuals with disabilities and teachers.
The museum is accessible by public transport, including bus line 15 with a stop at "Musée Chagall". There is free parking available for both cars and coaches. The museum is wheelchair accessible and provides facilities for visitors with disabilities. Guided tours are available and can be reserved in advance.
