Meols Beach Verified listing

Meols lies on the Wirral Peninsula, between Hoylake and Wallasey, just off the A553.  At low tide the small stretch of shingle beach here becomes a wide expanse of sand and mudflats.

Sand-buggying and horse riding are popular here, and in the winter months this can be a good place to go birdwatching.

From the shoreline there are views out into Liverpool Bay, and the beach can get some lovely sunsets.

The 4-mile long North Wirral Coastal Park runs from Meols Dove Point to the King’s Parade at New Brighton.  The park, which is The Wirral’s largest park area, provides a good open space, with acres of dunes, common land and foreshore.  It is popular with cyclists, joggers and picnickers.
