Description
The Memoire d'Agadir (translated to 'Memories of Agadir') is found in the Southwest corner of the Garden of Olhao and is one of the most beautiful parks in Agadir. The Amazing architecture of the buildings, the green paths, the suspension bridges and the water points make this garden a real haven of peace. The museum is located in the city centre of Agadir, and you can get there by taxi, on foot or by bike.
In 1960, Agadir suffered an earthquake which is known as the most destructive and deadliest earthquake in Moroccan history. This Museum allows you to understand the history of the city and this earthquake. Numerous period photos and displays allow you to first discover the beauty of the city, and in particular the Kasbah Agadir Oufellah (translated to 'the attic from above', and it is one of the city's iconic sites that offers an excellent view of the beautiful bay of Agadir and its surroundings.), then the extent of the damage caused by the terrible earthquake.
