Lee-on-the-Solent Beach is a well-loved shingle and pebble beach located along the south coast of Hampshire, just west of Gosport and about a 30-minute drive from Southampton. Facing the Solent, it offers sweeping views across to the Isle of Wight and is popular for its relaxed atmosphere, clean shoreline, and excellent access to the water. The beach is mostly pebbly with some sandy stretches exposed at low tide. While not ideal for traditional sandcastle-building, it's great for sunbathing, beachcombing, and paddling. The water quality is generally good, making it suitable for swimming, and the area is known for sailing, kayaking, windsurfing, and jet skiing. There’s also a launch area for small boats, and the long promenade is perfect for walking, cycling, or enjoying an ice cream by the sea.

Accessibility is excellent, with ample parking along the seafront, frequent bus services, and flat pathways suitable for wheelchairs and prams. Facilities include public toilets, showers, cafés, and picnic areas, plus a splash park and play area for children. The beach is dog-friendly in designated zones and open year-round, with no major restrictions, making it a welcoming and well-equipped spot for a classic British seaside day out.
