The Boat of the Helm is located in the municipality of San Martín de Valdeiglesias, right in the Pantano de San Juan. Getting there is relatively easy. At kilometre 49 of the M501 road, there is a forest track that leads to this recreational area and there you can leave your car in the parking area adapted for vehicles. It can also be reached by bus from the south station of San Martín de Valdeiglesias.

The Pantano de San Juan is one of the most frequented reservoirs in summer by the people of Madrid, so much so that it has come to be known as the beach of Madrid. This area allows you to enjoy all the advantages of this backwater pool, but with the added bonus that it is one of the less frequented areas than the typical beaches or municipal swimming pools.
