Kinoplex São Luiz, located in the Catete neighbourhood of Rio de Janeiro, is one of the city's most historic cinemas. Originally opened in the 1930s as Cine São Luiz, it quickly became a cultural landmark, renowned for its stunning Art Deco architecture and luxurious interior details. It was among the first cinemas outside Rio's downtown area to screen major film releases, drawing audiences from across the city. After undergoing extensive renovations, the theater was integrated into the Kinoplex chain, preserving its historical charm while updating its facilities for modern audiences. 

Today, Kinoplex São Luiz features six screening rooms with a combined capacity of 2,817 seats, including two large auditoriums that each accommodate 999 viewers. The cinema offers a diverse selection of films, from Hollywood blockbusters to Brazilian productions, catering to a wide range of moviegoers.
