Description

Kanaanbadet is a family-friendly swimming area with two nice beaches in northern Stockholm. Large lawns, swings, a diving tower, outdoor showers, and toilets (including a handicap toilet) are on site. The café Kanaan serves ice cream, fika, and lighter refreshments.

Along the banks of Lake Mälaren, is the public beach of Kanaanbadet. The beach is encompassed within the Grimsta Nature Reserve. Sweden's first youth center was established here during the Second World War. Currently, it features a cafe, which has a great historic background, and a mini golf club. A number of local sporting events take place here. The beach also serves as a popular destination for picnics.
