Description
Juanillo Beach, or Playa Juanillo, is a serene and exclusive stretch of coastline located within the Cap Cana resort area, approximately 20 minutes south of Punta Cana. Renowned for its powdery white sands, crystal-clear turquoise waters, and towering palm trees, it is often considered one of the most beautiful beaches in the Dominican Republic.
Access to Juanillo Beach is controlled through Cap Cana's main security gate. Visitors who are not staying at one of the resorts within Cap Cana, such as the Hyatt Ziva Cap Cana or Sanctuary Cap Cana, can enter by paying an entry fee of approximately $20–$25 per person. This fee typically acts as a food and beverage credit at the Juanillo Grill & Beach Club. Upon entry, guests are required to leave an ID or passport with security and will receive it back upon departure.
The beach offers a tranquil atmosphere, with fewer crowds compared to other beaches in the region. It’s an ideal spot for relaxation, swimming, and enjoying the natural beauty of the Caribbean. While some visitors have noted the presence of seaweed during certain seasons, the beach is generally well-maintained and provides a peaceful retreat for those seeking a more exclusive beach experience.
