Description

The Bygdøy peninsula is home to three main beaches: Huk, Paradisbukta, and Bygdøy Sjøbad. Huk is easily the most popular and it's also the simplest to access, a short walk from the bus stop of the same name. Paradisbukta and Bygdøy Sjøbad require a bit more walking but it's well worth the effort as they are surrounded by beautiful nature. All the beaches have platforms in the water, as well as kiosks, toilets, and outdoor showers.

Huk beach and park attracts people from all over Oslo on warm summer days. It's located on the southern tip of the Bygdøy peninsula, just 5 km away from the city centre. The water is rather shallow, and there's both grass and sand areas to sunbathe. The water, beach, and facilities are clean and well-cared for. There's even a diving platform on the western side of the beach and a beach volleyball court.

It's the perfect place to spend an afternoon, soaking up the sun, playing frisbee, or even having a picnic. There's a SPAR supermarket one bus stop away at "Ro" as well as two kiosks and Hukodden Strandrestaurant, a Norwegian tapas restaurant.
