Lekki Conservation Centre (LCC) is a 78-hectare nature reserve located on the Lekki Peninsula in Lagos, Nigeria. Established in 1990 by the Nigerian Conservation Foundation (NCF), the centre serves as a sanctuary for local wildlife and a hub for environmental education. It is situated along the Lekki-Epe Expressway, opposite Chevron, making it easily accessible for visitors seeking a natural retreat within the city.
One of the centre's standout features is Africa's longest canopy walkway, stretching 401 meters and suspended 22.5 meters above the ground. This walkway offers visitors a unique perspective of the surrounding wetlands and savannah, providing an exhilarating experience amidst the treetops. In addition to the canopy walk, LCC boasts various attractions, including nature trails, a tree house, bird hides, picnic areas, and a giant tortoise that has become a symbol of the centre's commitment to wildlife conservation.
The centre is open daily from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, welcoming visitors of all ages. Entrance fees are ₦1,500 for adults, ₦500 for children aged 1–10 years, and ₦500 for those aged 11–17 years. Access to the canopy walkway is an additional ₦1,500 for individuals aged 14–65. Group visits for up to 30 individuals are available at a rate of ₦25,000.
