Description

Gumbuya World is a large theme park that combines water slides, thrill rides, wildlife encounters, and family‑friendly attractions. The park features big roller coasters like Project Zero (Victoria’s tallest coaster at ~50m, with speeds up to 105 km/h) and TNT, plus water rides (twisted slides, wave pools, lazy rivers), splash‑and play areas, and wildlife trails where you can see animals like kangaroos, koalas, etc. The park is divided into “worlds of fun” including Water, Wildlife, Rides, and Family/Junior zones, so there’s plenty for both thrill-seekers and those who want something gentler.

There are age, height, weight and ability restrictions on many rides. For example, rides like Project Zero require riders to be at least 140 cm, and for TNT the minimum heights are 105 cm (if accompanied) or higher if going alone. Children under certain ages (typically under 10) or non‑swimmers need close supervision. Life‑jackets or other safety equipment may be required in water attractions. Guests must follow safety briefings and obey instructions from staff. Also, some rides can’t operate in bad weather, and attractions may close for maintenance or during quieter periods.

Ticket prices vary depending on age/height category (General, Junior, Senior, “Tots” under a height threshold are often free), and whether you buy online or at the gate. Prices go higher during peak summer and “Water, Wildlife & Rides” trading days. Day visits might cost somewhere in the ballpark of AUD $70‑80 for general admission during high season; juniors (90‑120 cm), seniors, and special tickets are cheaper. There are also annual passes which give year‑round entry plus discounts. Plan for most of a day to really experience Gumbuya World — expect to spend 4‑6 hours to hit a lot of the rides, enjoy the water and wildlife, take breaks, and eat. What to bring: swimwear, a towel, sun protection (hat, sunscreen), change of clothes, comfortable walking shoes, maybe waterproof gear if you’ll use water attractions, and check weather forecasts. Booking ahead is recommended especially at busy times to secure tickets and preferred access.
