Description
Golf du Soleil, located about 7 kilometers from the center of Agadir, is a spacious outdoor golf resort set between the Atlantic Ocean and the Anti-Atlas Mountains. It features two 18-hole courses: the prestigious Championship Course (par 72, around 5,540 meters long, renovated in 2019), which regularly hosts professional tournaments such as the Ladies European Tour, and the more technical Tikida Course, winding through a forest of eucalyptus trees. Surrounded by palm trees, tamarisks, water features, and fountains, the golf course offers a tranquil and scenic setting away from the city's bustle.
Open year-round, Golf du Soleil benefits from Agadir’s mild, sunny climate, with temperatures ranging between 20°C and 26°C and over 300 days of sunshine annually. Tee times usually begin around 8:30 AM and continue until late afternoon. Green fees range from approximately 630 to 700 MAD (about €60–€70) for 18 holes. Discounted rates are available for guests staying at the Tikida Golf Palace, especially in the off-season (as low as 295 MAD from May to September). A free shuttle service connects the golf course with several beachfront hotels, making it easily accessible for holidaymakers.
Facilities include a large driving range with 52 bays, putting and chipping greens, club rentals, manual and electric trolleys, golf carts, and caddie services. The clubhouse offers a pro shop, bar-restaurant with a panoramic terrace, locker rooms, and free Wi-Fi. The Soleil Golf Academy, staffed by PGA professionals, offers lessons and training for beginners and experienced players alike. The course is also environmentally conscious, using treated wastewater for irrigation. Advance booking is highly recommended, especially during the peak season.
