Giwa Gardens is a premier water park located in Sangotedo, along the Lekki–Epe axis of Lagos, just a few minutes from Lagos Business School. Spanning approximately 14 acres with a parking capacity of up to 800 vehicles, it is currently the largest water park in West Africa by water-to-land ratio. The park features a wide range of attractions including an artificial beach, massive wave pools, a kids’ Waterhouse that can accommodate hundreds of children, pirate ship-themed slides, jungle-style dining, a mechanical dinosaur display, adventure caves, and Jacuzzi bars. The Extreme River is powered by powerful pumps every 30 seconds, creating thrilling waves that are a favourite among adrenaline-seekers.
Entry is strictly by pre-booked tickets, with no option to pay at the gate. Tickets are offered in three tiers: Standard, Fast-track, and Premium. Standard tickets cost about ₦50,000 for adults (ages 12 and up) and ₦37,000 for children (ages 3–11), while children under 3 enter free. Fast-track tickets, which offer quicker entry, are priced at around ₦75,000 for adults and ₦50,000 for kids. Premium tickets, which include food and access to exclusive rides, cost ₦100,000 for adults and ₦65,000 for kids. There's also a luxurious First-Class Experience available for ₦1,750,000, covering up to 7 guests with villa access, meals, and full park privileges. The park opens to families on select days and hosts adult-only evenings starting from 7 pm.
Safety is a top priority, with height restrictions ranging from 1.4 m to 2 m depending on the ride. Some attractions also have weight and age limits, and people with health conditions like high blood pressure, pregnancy, or heart issues are advised to avoid high-thrill rides. Children under 12 must be supervised by an adult. Most visitors spend between 2 and 5 hours at the park, depending on the type of ticket purchased and how much of the park they want to explore. Food options include everything from snacks to full meals, with prices ranging from ₦3,000 to ₦39,000. Booking in advance is highly recommended to secure a spot and save up to 15% on ticket prices.
