Description
Crocoparc Agadir is a zoological and botanical park located in Drarga, just outside Agadir in southern Morocco, along the RN8 highway. It opened in 2015 and has since become a popular attraction for families and wildlife enthusiasts. The park is designed around large landscaped gardens with paths leading visitors through various natural zones, all centred around large enclosures housing the main attraction — Nile crocodiles.
Inside the park, you’ll encounter over 300 Nile crocodiles, as well as other reptiles such as giant tortoises, green iguanas, anacondas, and pythons. There are also small primates like white-eared marmosets and several bird species. The gardens are divided into themed areas such as a cactus garden, a tropical zone, and a water garden with lilies and papyrus. Feeding times for the crocodiles are a highlight and usually draw a crowd, making for an exciting spectacle.
A visit typically takes about 2 to 3 hours. The park is open daily, with slightly varying hours depending on the season. Entry fees are approximately 95 MAD for adults and 65 MAD for children aged 3 to 12. Tickets can be purchased online or at the gate, and some packages include hotel transfers. It's a good idea to wear comfortable walking shoes and bring sun protection, as much of the park is outdoors and can get quite hot during midday. If you're staying in Agadir, the park is around 15–20 minutes away by car, so plan transportation in advance if it’s not included in your booking.
