Description
Coral Bay Beach, located in the Peyia municipality about 11 kilometres north of Paphos, Cyprus, is known for its beautiful golden sandy shoreline and crystal-clear, shallow waters. The crescent-shaped beach stretches around 500 to 600 meters between two limestone headlands and is surrounded by lush greenery, creating a picturesque and inviting setting. It holds the EU Blue Flag certification, ensuring high environmental, safety, and accessibility standards. Lifeguards are on duty from April to October, adding to visitors’ peace of mind.
The beach offers a range of amenities including public toilets, coin-operated showers, changing rooms, foot-wash stations, and recycling bins. Sunbeds and umbrellas are available to rent, typically costing around €7.50 for a full package. There is ample free parking nearby, and the beach is easily accessible by foot, bike, bus, or car. Water sports such as jet-skiing, windsurfing, parasailing, paddleboarding, and pedal boating are popular activities here. Several cafes and snack bars provide refreshments and light meals.
Coral Bay Beach is generally accessible, with facilities that accommodate visitors with mobility challenges, including wheelchair-friendly access and a floating wheelchair available for use. While the beach itself is public, some of the services and equipment rentals may involve costs, so it’s advisable to check prices beforehand. During peak tourist seasons, the beach can get crowded, so visiting during off-peak times is recommended for a more relaxed experience.
