Canford Cliffs is a natural and tranquil area, situated between Shore Road Beach and Branksome Chine Beach. It has Blue Flag status, with sandy cliffs and picturesque wooden huts, making Canford Cliffs a popular choice for locals. It is within walking distance of Canford Cliffs village, which offers a range of restaurants and local shops.

Beach type: A fine, sandy beach with gentle shelving into the the sea.
Parking: Parking available next to the town library at Western Road Surface Car Park (52 spaces). Additional parking at Beach Road Surface Car Park (368 spaces). Access via Pinecliff Gardens.
Accessibility: 2 Accessible parking spaces at Western Road Surface Car Park. Access from the car park is via Pinecliff Gardens where there are steps onto the promenade. There are no accessible toilets at this beach. Nearby Branksome Chine Beach has easier access for wheelchair users or those with mobility problems.

Dogs: From 1 May to 30 September dogs are not allowed on the beach (at other times, dogs are allowed off lead). Dogs should be on a lead on the promenade, zigzag paths and cliff paths at all times. Download the Dogs on Beach leaflet for further information.
Lifeguards: There are no lifeguards at this beach.
Cycling, skating and skateboarding on the promenade: In July and August, cycling, skating and skateboarding are not permitted on the seafront promenades or paths between 10am and 6pm.
Electric scooters on the promenade: Private e-scooters are not allowed on the promenade - only Beryl e-scooters are allowed. Beryl e-scooters are not allowed from 10am until 6pm in July and August.
Barbecues: Please read the beach barbecue and parties guide. Barbecues are only permitted at the beach between 6pm and 10:30pm. Gas barbecues are not permitted at any time. Use your barbecue responsibly, safely and respectfully, ensuring that they do not cause a nuisance to others. When you’ve finished with your barbecue, please extinguish it carefully with water and (if it is a disposable one) leave it next to the bins on the promenade for collection. Do not bury or put hot BBQs into bins. Open fires, fire pits and fire bowls are not permitted at any time on our beaches or promenades.
