Description
Bungee America offers an exhilarating bungee jumping experience at the historic Bridge to Nowhere, located in the San Gabriel Mountains about 20 miles north of Azusa, California. This unique spot became accessible after the original road was washed away in 1938, leaving a scenic 5-mile hiking trail through the Angeles National Forest. The adventure begins with a rugged hike, crossing the San Gabriel River several times, leading to the bridge where participants can jump from 120 feet above the canyon floor. Bungee America is the only government-certified bungee jumping operator in California, ensuring a safe and thrilling experience.
The tours run every Saturday and Sunday, with midweek jumps available by special arrangement. Each session is a full-day adventure, starting with the hike to the bridge, followed by the bungee jump, and ending with the return hike. The entire experience typically lasts from morning until late afternoon, with guests returning to their vehicles between 3:00 PM and 5:00 PM. Reservations are required in advance, and spectators are welcome for a fee, which includes access to amenities at the bridge.
Pricing varies depending on the package chosen: a single jump costs $110, while packages for 2, 3, or 5 jumps range from $150 to $250, with the 5-jump package including a free 5th jump. Additional jumps can be purchased for $50 each. Advanced jump styles like backflips and elevator drops are offered to experienced jumpers. For those wanting a more immersive experience, an Overnight Campout & Night Jumps Package includes daytime and night time jumps along with camping at the bridge. Participants should be prepared for a physically demanding day with a strenuous hike and adrenaline-pumping jump. Sturdy hiking shoes, a change of clothes, water, and snacks are recommended to make the most of this unforgettable adventure.
