Description
The small seashore of Althea, spotted near the regions of Agia Marina and Agios Dimitrios, boasts smooth sand and a handful of scattered pebbles along its length! It is a somewhat secluded beach destination, given that a staircase leads to the beach, yet Althea rewards the extra effort with its calm, clear waters!
Althea is one of the best non-organized beaches in Attica, having no on-the-beach tourist facilities, but showcasing a gorgeous vegetated background! In addition, it is a wildly popular destination for single travelers, couples, and naturists alike while also offering a pretty view over the small islet of Duni!
Since it is not an organized beach, you will need a beach umbrella for shade. Althea is a pebbly beach in a small sandy bay, so a beach mat would be ideal for lying on. Don’t forget your hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen. The relaxing atmosphere of Althea, along with its easy access, makes it the perfect place to chill for hours under the sun and enjoy your swim. A small snack and a bottle of chilled water would also be a good idea.
