Description
Alley Pond Park Adventure Course, nestled in Queens, New York, offers a unique outdoor experience featuring both high and low ropes elements designed to promote team building, personal growth, and outdoor recreation. Spanning 655 acres, Alley Pond Park is the second-largest public park in Queens and provides a natural setting for the adventure course. The course includes a variety of challenges such as a zip line, climbing wall, balance platforms, trust fall stations, and swings, catering to participants aged 8 and older. These activities are designed to foster trust, communication, and problem-solving skills among participants.
The adventure course is open to the public on select days, offering free programs on Sundays from June through October. Morning sessions begin at 9:30 a.m., and afternoon sessions start at 1:00 p.m., with registration taking place 30 minutes prior to each session. Due to high demand, it's recommended to arrive early, as space is limited and programs are offered on a first-come, first-served basis. For those interested in group activities, the course also accommodates school, youth, and camp groups, with full-day programs available on weekdays from May through November. These programs can be tailored to meet specific educational and developmental goals.
Located at the southern end of Alley Pond Park, the Adventure Course is accessible by car and public transportation. For those driving, parking is available near the course entrance. Public transit options include taking the E or F subway trains to Union Turnpike station, followed by a transfer to the eastbound Q46 bus, which stops at Winchester Boulevard. From there, it's a short walk to the course entrance. Whether you're seeking a challenging physical activity or a team-building experience, Alley Pond Park Adventure Course offers a memorable outdoor adventure in the heart of Queens.
