Description
Paphos Zoo is the largest licensed zoo in Cyprus, located in the lush surroundings of Peyia, just a short drive from Paphos. Spanning over 100,000 square meters, it houses a diverse collection of over 350 animal species, including giraffes, tigers, white lions, meerkats, kangaroos, and a notable array of parrots and venomous snakes. The zoo is open daily throughout the year, offering visitors a chance to experience wildlife in a natural setting.
The zoo operates with varying hours depending on the season:
November to March: 09:00 – 17:00
April to July: 09:00 – 18:00
August: 09:00 – 19:00
September to October: 09:00 – 18:00
Admission fees are €16.50 for adults and €8.50 for children aged 2 to 12 years. The zoo also offers a shuttle bus service from various hotels in the Paphos region, operating daily during the summer months and three times per week during the winter months. Reservations for the shuttle service can be made online.
Visitors can enjoy daily shows featuring parrots and owls, providing both entertainment and educational insights into these fascinating species.
