URMU – Urban Museum Kuala Lumpur is a contemporary art museum located in the heart of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The museum is housed in two distinct venues: URMU @ Bukit Bintang and URMU @ Toffee, Raja Chulan. URMU @ Bukit Bintang is situated at 3, Jalan Bedara, 50200 Kuala Lumpur, while URMU @ Toffee is located at 2, Jalan Raja Chulan, 50100 Kuala Lumpur. Both locations are easily accessible by public transportation, with nearby monorail and MRT stations. The museum offers a unique experience, featuring a diverse collection of contemporary artworks that reflect the dynamic urban culture of Kuala Lumpur.
The museum operates from Tuesday to Sunday, 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM, and is closed on Mondays and select public holidays. Admission fees vary: adults (13 years and above) are charged RM20, while children (12 years and under) can enter for free. Students (with valid ID), seniors (60 years and above), and visitors with disabilities are eligible for a discounted rate of RM10. Tickets must be purchased online in advance, as on-site purchases are not available. Each visit is allotted a 1.5-hour time slot to ensure a comfortable viewing experience.
Inside, visitors can explore over 200 artworks across 10 themed gallery spaces, including Sens-Asia, People, Kampung Kita, Power Play, Raksasa (Monsters), Superheroes, Framing Modernity, Structure, Made’s Garden, and the Sculpture Lounge. The museum also features a rooftop sculpture garden and a Balinese garden to commemorate the late landscape maestro from Bali, Pak Made Wijaya. Please note that bags and food are not permitted inside the museum; lockers are available for storing personal belongings. To enhance the experience, visitors are encouraged to scan the QR code upon entry and exit.
