Key Bridge Boathouse, managed by Boating in DC, is located at 3500 Water Street NW in Georgetown, Washington, D.C. It offers rentals of kayaks, stand-up paddleboards (SUPs), and other watercraft, providing a scenic way to explore the Potomac River and enjoy views of the Georgetown Waterfront and Roosevelt Island.
The boathouse operates daily from 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM, with hours subject to change due to weather or holidays. Rental rates for 2025 are approximately $22 on weekdays and $24 on weekends for single kayaks and SUPs. Double kayaks or canoes rent for about $32 on weekdays and $34 on weekends. There is also a daily hand launch fee of $6. Rentals include the boat, paddle, and life jacket. Advanced reservations are encouraged, especially on busy days.
Amenities include changing tents, rentable lockers, and picnic tables that can be reserved for a fee. Dogs are welcome, and life jackets are available for them. Fishing from boats is allowed, and private boats can be launched for a small fee. A float plan agreement must be completed online before arrival.
