Description
PS150 is a celebrated cocktail bar nestled in the heart of Kuala Lumpur's Chinatown, specifically on Jalan Petaling. Housed in a pre-war shophouse, the bar's entrance is cleverly concealed behind a vintage toy store façade, adding an element of intrigue and charm. The interior is divided into three distinct areas, each reflecting a different era in cocktail history: the Opium Den, the Courtyard, and the Main Bar. This thematic division offers patrons a unique and immersive experience as they traverse through time while enjoying their drinks.
The cocktail menu at PS150 is a creative journey through five distinct eras: Vintage, Classic, Tiki, Disco, and Contemporary. Each section features reimagined classics and original concoctions that incorporate bold Southeast Asian flavours. Signature drinks include the 'Salty Chinaman,' a vodka-based cocktail with a local twist, and the 'Assamboi Margarita,' which infuses the traditional margarita with the unique taste of preserved plum. The menu is presented in a playful school exercise book format, adding a nostalgic touch to the experience.
Operating hours are daily from 6:00 PM to 2:00 AM. On Fridays, Saturdays, and the eve of public holidays, the dress code is smart casual; flip-flops, slippers, and sandals are not permitted. Reservations are recommended, especially on weekends, as the bar can become quite popular.
