Description
Tidal Cove is a large waterpark at the JW Marriott Miami Turnberry Resort & Spa in Aventura. It features multiple thrill slides (including a 60-foot tower with seven water slides), a FlowRider® Triple surf simulator, a lazy river, a lagoon‑style pool, a kids’ play area called Kids Cove (emoji‑themed), and an adults‑only pool known as the Oasis Pool. There are cabanas for rent throughout the park, several dining options (full‑service grill and quick‑serve), retail for essentials like swimwear/sunscreen, and amenities like complimentary towels and changing rooms.
For safety and ride access: there are height and weight limits on many slides. For example, some slides require riders to be at least 48 inches tall; others allow lower heights (e.g. 42 or 36 inches) depending on the ride. Children under 6 need to be accompanied by a guardian 16+ in the Kids Cove area. Swimwear must meet certain standards (no metal ornamentation, exposed zippers, etc.), and everyone must follow the safety briefing. Life jackets are provided at water slide areas and Kids Cove. Guests must also wear appropriate footwear outside the slides (walkways can get hot or slippery).
Admission works via a “Resort Day Membership” pass, which gives access to the waterpark (and includes things like towels, lounge chairs, etc.). Guests staying at the resort get complimentary waterpark access (depending on room type). Pricing for day visitors starts around US$65‑95 depending on day of the week and demand. Children aged 3 & under are free. Cabana rentals cost extra and offer luxury features (flat‑screen TV, mini fridge, service). Parking is available (self‑parking and valet) with fees. The park is open around 10 AM to 7 PM for most attractions, though slide/rides often run until about 5 PM. Plan for most of the day so you have time to use several attractions, take food breaks, relax, etc.
Tips: arrive early to beat crowds and get better cabana or lounge options; reserve cabanas ahead if you want one; bring sunscreen, water‑safe footwear, a change of clothes; don’t bring outside food or drink (not allowed), so plan for eating inside; check weather forecasts (some high rides get closed in storms).
